Kunstenaar Cham Chahda werkt aan haar nieuwe project “Home”<\/strong>, waarin ze onderzoekt wat thuis betekent. Is het een plek, een gevoel of een verzameling herinneringen?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Met verschillende materialen, sculpturen en lagen laat Chahda zien hoe thuis iets blijvends kan zijn, maar ook veranderlijk. Ze haalt inspiratie uit persoonlijke verhalen, cultuur en thema\u2019s zoals migratie en herinneringen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through mixed media compositions, sculptural forms, and material layering, I examine the contrasts between permanence and impermanence, stability and displacement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each piece within “Home”<\/em> reflects a different perspective on the concept, drawing from cultural heritage, personal narratives, and universal themes of migration, nostalgia, and transformation. The use of diverse materials plays a crucial role in conveying these ideas\u2014some elements appear worn and weathered, symbolizing history and passage, while others remain raw and undefined, capturing the transient nature of home as something we constantly seek, redefine, and rebuild.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At its core, “Home”<\/em> is an invitation to reflect on our own connections to place, memory, and identity. It speaks to the resilience of individuals and communities in shaping a sense of belonging, even in the face of change and uncertainty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
